2. Requirements on manufacturing performance and welding performance of welded joints

The welded component, in the manufacturing process, is inevitable to carry out a variety of forming and cutting, such as stamping, rolling, bending, turning, planing, and other processing procedures, which requires that the welded joint has a certain plastic deformation capacity and cutting performance, high-temperature comprehensive performance. According to the weldability difference of the base material, the welding process requires the welding material to have good performance, and have the corresponding ability to resist cracks and other defects.

3. Reasonable economy

While meeting the above minimum requirements of various performance and manufacturing performances, cheap welding materials should be selected to reduce manufacturing costs and improve economic benefits. For example, when the low carbon steel electrode arc welding of important parts, the basic drug electrode should be preferred, because the basic electrode deoxidation, desulfurization, and low hydrogen content, have good weld metal cracking resistance and impact toughness. And for some non-important parts, can choose an acid electrode, because an acid electrode has good technology, meet the performance requirements of non-important parts, and the price is cheap, which can reduce the manufacturing cost.
