The roundness of the reducer shall not be greater than 1% of the outer diameter of the corresponding end, and the allowable deviation is ±3mm.  The material of the reducer is SY/T5037, GB/T9711, GB/T8163, ASTM A106/A53 GRB, API 5L, APT5CT, ASTM A105, ASTM A234.

 

 

The roundness of the reducer shall not be greater than 1% of the outer diameter of the corresponding end, and the allowable deviation is ±3mm.  The material of the reducer is made of SY/T5037, GB/T9711, GB/T8163, ASTM A106/A53 GRB, API 5L, APT5CT, ASTM A105, ASTM A234, ASTM A106, DIN German standards and customer requirements.  

 

Reduced pipe (size head) is a pipe fitting used for reducing the diameter of a pipe.  The forming process is usually reduced diameter pressing, expanded diameter pressing or reduced diameter and expanded diameter pressing, and stamping can also be used for some specifications of reduced pipe.  

 

Shrinkage/expansion forming  

 

The process of reducing the diameter of reduced pipe is to put the tube billet with the same diameter as the big end of reduced pipe into the forming die, and press the metal along the axial direction of the tube billet to move and shrink the die cavity.  According to the size of reducing pipe diameter, it can be divided into one pressing forming or multiple pressing forming.  

 

 

Expanding forming is to use the tube billet which is smaller than the diameter of the big end of the reduced pipe, and expand forming along the inner diameter of the tube billet with the inner punch.  The expanding process mainly solves the problem that the reduced pipe with larger diameter is not easy to be formed by reducing the diameter. Sometimes, the expanding and reducing methods are combined according to the forming needs of materials and products.

Stamping  

 

In addition to using steel pipe as raw material to produce reduced pipe, some specifications of reduced pipe can also be produced by steel plate stamping process.  The shape of the drawing die is designed according to the surface size of the reducing pipe, and the steel plate after cutting is punched and drawn.
