Advantages of nickel 

Nickel has a certain strength and good ductility.  The addition of nickel to stainless steel enhances the corrosion resistance of the steel, allowing for strong, malleable, and sturdy welding, thus ensuring that stainless steel can be used in strong and durable structures.  Similar structures include the new SAN Giorgio Bridge in Italy, designed by Renzo Piano.  The new bridge was built after the catastrophic collapse of the old one.  Steel reinforcement is a key link to ensure the durability of Bridges.  Mechanical strength and corrosion resistance of the new bridge is ensured through the use of stainless steel reinforcement. 

Reinforce where needed

St. George Bridge uses 9000 tons of carbon steel rebar, in addition to 250 tons of stainless steel rebar, the use ratio is only 3%, for reinforced concrete projects exposed to corrosive conditions, usually using 1% to 5% is a more typical practice, following the ratio principle is also conducive to reducing the total cost of infrastructure projects.
